Position: Junior Logistics Executive (Logistics Associate Apprenticeship) Location: DSG HQ Dublin Port Salary: negotiable Working hours: 9-5pm with an hour lunch break. The company permits two hybrid working days per week after the probationary period. About Us: Doyle Shipping Group was founded in 1886 by Denis Doyle and has nearly 140 years of experience in shipping and providing port service solutions, operating in all major Irish ports and employing almost 700 people. Company's website: /https://www.doyleshipping.uk/ Among the duties and training an apprentice will receive are: • Handling of customers Export and Import bookings • Arranging transport with vendors • Handling bill of ladings, export, and import documentation. • Handling of customs clearance entries • Invoicing of job shipments to clients. • Managing and processing vendor invoices. • Completing customer tracking reports. • Assisting the sales team with leads and account management The following are some of the benefits of the apprenticeship at the company: • The opportunity to pursue studies at the TU Dublin City Campus and to acquire industry qualifications at the Level 6 Higher Certificate in Logistics • A wide range of in-house training • In-House Career Progression opportunities • Plus much more! Applicant must meet one of the LAA programme entry criteria: • H7/O6 or above in five leaving certificate (or equivalent) subjects. A minimum of grade O6 must be obtained in English. A minimum of grade O6 or a B2 or above in Foundation level must be obtained in mathematics • Holders of a QQI Level 5 or Level 6 (or equivalent) in cognate areas (e.g. business, logistics, and distribution, supply chain management etc) • Applicants may also be eligible to become apprentices via Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL).
