Job Description:The role of a Production Team Leader at our Bolton site is to ensure employees are instructed and supervised to carry out their work. Providing coaching and development and support. The position requires working a shift pattern of 24 hours over 5 days, Monday to Friday (6-1400, and 1400-2200). Weekends and Christmas week closure. This role is ideal for someone with managerial / supervisory experience from within the manufacturing and production industry.Responsibilities:
  • Ensure employees are adequately informed, instructed, trained and supervised to safely carry out work for which they are engaged.
  • Ensure a safe working environment, striving for zero recordable injuries in compliance with internal policies and external legislation, through the delivery of key enabling activities (e.g. Near Misses, Safety Observations, timely completion of actions). Ensure that safety and environmental incidents are fully investigated and the appropriate countermeasures established.
  • Manage the Production operations ensuring efficiency and the production schedule is achieved.
  • Team members to be deployed and supervised effectively.
  • Operating standards must be monitored and any necessary changes are initiated.
Qualifications:
  • Previous supervisory experience and / or qualifications
  • Educated to High School Standard or equivalent
  • Microsoft Office application competency
  • Previous experience working within Manufacturing within Production
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Good people skills, previous experience coaching and developing others
  • Ability and desire to work a 24/5 shift pattern
