In this role, you’ll tap into your sales expertise to build strong relationships with dental practices, boosting net sales, enhancing product mix, and growing the overall consumption of Colgate professional products. More details of geography will be shared during the interview process.What you will do:Collaborate with Regional Manager to develop territory business plans prioritizing largest/most profitable opportunities, continuously decreasing cost-to-serveAchieve quarterly and annual sales goals by actively participating and meeting/exceeding key performance indicators, including number of calls, number of sales, and new/total customer acquisitionDrive sales by promoting and merchandising Colgate's professional dental products to dental practices within geographic territoryCultivate and expand relationships with dental practices to boost sales and identify new opportunitiesActively seek out new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, social media and other methods of outreachBuild and maintain successful working relationships with cross-functional partners, including our Corporate DSO team, Remote Selling Team, Call Center, Marketing, Educational Team, 3rd party's distributor's Sales Force, and Dental ProfessionalsRepresent Colgate Oral Pharmaceuticals at dental conventions, local dental and hygiene associations & study clubs and dental/hygiene schoolsEducate customers through detailing and in-clinic seminars/lunch & learns on the superior efficacy and value of Colgate professional portfolioWhat we're looking for:Preferably, demonstrated experience in developing strategic business plans with specific, measurable, action-oriented objectives aligning to territory and organizational business goalsA self-starter with a strong drive to nurture and grow a sales territoryExcellent communication, relationship building, and presentation skillsHighly driven, tenacious, and self-motivated attitudeStrong analytical skill and business acumenStrong ability to influence, negotiate, and close salesComfort engaging with dental professionals with a strong understanding of business needs and dental terminologyEagerness to learn and utilize technologies, including CRM platforms Google Suite, and other emerging technologies within the dental industryRequired qualifications:Bachelor's Degree0 to 2+ years of sales experiencePositive and strong relationship building skills, both internally and externallyWillingness and ability to travel within designated territoryDL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in StateStrong communication skills and Proficiency in English, as it allows us to communicate effectively with our external and internal partnersPreferred qualifications:Prior sales experience in the dental industry, CPG, or medical devicesKnowledge and understanding of the competitive landscape in health care productsExperience working with third-party distributorsBackground in B2B sales, dental hygiene, or dental office settingsCompensation and Benefits
Salary Range $64,000.00 - $79,200.00 USDPay is based on multiple non-discriminatory, individualized factors including but not limited to experience, job-related knowledge and education, skills and office/market location. In addition to base salary, salaried employees are eligible for annual discretionary bonuses, profit-sharing and, for Executive-level (salary grade 16 and above) roles only, long-term incentives in the form of Restricted Stock Units and/or Stock Options.Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable benefits plans then in effect, all salaried employees are also eligible for a competitive benefits package which includes:
  • Insurance: Employees (and their eligible dependents) are eligible to participate in Company-sponsored Medical, Dental, Vision, Basic Life Insurance, Accidental Death & Dismemberment and Disability insurance plans.
  • Retirement Plans: Employees are eligible to enroll in Colgate's 401(k) plan, which provides for company matching contributions subject to eligibility requirements
  • Vacation/PTO: Employees receive a minimum of 15 days of vacation/PTO leave annually
  • Paid Holidays: Employees receive a minimum of 13 paid/floating holidays annually
  • Paid Sick Leave: Based on location and consistent with applicable state and local law, employees receive a minimum of 40 hours of paid sick leave on January 1st of each year
  • Paid Parental Leave: Eligible employees may take up to eight weeks of paid parental leave and 12 weeks of unpaid leave (varies for employees with fewer than 12 months of service and is subject to hours worked requirements)
