- Prepare and provide electrical wiring sketches for Solutions and Service Automation projects
- Work with electrical subcontractors to clarify scope of work and accurate pricing
- Prepare and provide sales estimates for Solutions and Service Automation projects
- Learn and understand Building Automation Systems including airside and waterside controls and be able to optimize building energy efficiency through automation/controls and mechanical system analysis
- Provide value by communicating on product, installation, and commissioning risk factors before and during cost reviews
- Evaluate material and pricing to appropriately suggest substitutions that meet specifications
- Interpret customer requirements as communicated in drawings, specifications, and customer meetings
- Centralize estimating resources, simplifying portions of scope, and develop scope of work
- Align with and follow the Operations Center standardized structure for creating estimates
- Utilize effective communication skills to proactively interact with customers, vendors, and internal teams
- Align with and follow the Operations Center standardized structure for creating estimates
- Coordinate the overall estimating effort with a solution developer when assigned and align with local operations team during cost review and technical handover meetings
- Work and collaborate closely with the NYC Metro Area Branch
- High school diploma or state-recognized GED
- Experience in sales, estimating, field (technician/specialist), or design engineering in direct support of Building Automation Systems (HVAC):
- Mid-Level: 3+ years
- Senior Level: 5+ years
- Demonstrated knowledge/aptitude/proficiency of the following based on applicable work experience:
- Building Automation with proven proficiencies in the components of a BAS, including controllers, sensors, output devices, communications protocols, and user interface
- HVAC and mechanical systems, smart buildings, and engineering fundamentals (e.g., sizing valves, dampers, AFMS, Meters, VFDs, etc.)
- Reading and interpreting mechanical, electrical, and plumbing plans, specifications, and schematics
- Microsoft Office Suite - Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, and Sharepoint
- Demonstrated ability of the following based on applicable work experience:
- Effectively collaborate with colleagues and work with teams cross-functionally
- Prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, manage time effectively and meet deadlines under pressure
- Qualified candidates must be able to work in a hybrid (combination of on-site/remote) work environment in the Greater NYC Metro Area
- Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship
- 7+ years of experience in a combination of applicable roles to include sales, estimating, field (technician/specialist), or design engineering in direct support of Building Automation Systems (HVAC)
- Demonstrated experience preparing and providing electrical wiring sketches for Building Automation (Commercial HVAC Control Systems) projects
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical, or similar engineering
- Demonstrated experience using an estimating/quoting system

- The pay range for this position is $64,470 - $135,120. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.
