To this end, NHS Scotland welcomes applications from all sections of society.Grade: ConsultantDepartment: General Paediatrics and InnovationApplications are invited for this Consultant Post in General Paediatrics with an interest in innovation and digital health at the Royal Hospital for Children, Glasgow that forms part of the Women and Children's Directorate.The successful candidate will contribute to providing an integrated and dedicated general paediatric department, with a consultant delivered service, working closely with colleagues in paediatric specialties and emergency medicine. The successful candidate will have dedicated job plan time allocated to deliver within the innovation hub in RHC. The post will be located in the Royal Hospital for Children adjacent to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital and with out-patient duties in other localities throughout GGC, Argyll & Bute.In addition to its many national and regional specialist tertiary services, the Directorate also supports an extensive array of community child health services. RHC, Glasgow, is the largest paediatric teaching hospital in Scotland and is a world leader in the provision of child and adolescent health services. It provides care, not only for children resident within Greater Glasgow, but is also a tertiary referral centre for children from the West of Scotland and, in some sub-specialties, from the whole of Scotland and wider.Applicants must possess full GMC registration and a licence to practise. Those trained within the UK should have evidence of higher specialist training leading to CCT in General Paediatrics or eligibility for specialist registration (CESR) or be within six months of confirmed entry from the date of interview, and should possess a postgraduate qualification (MRCPCH or equivalent).
