- Manage month end activities for various funding sources (staffing, property operating and capital projects) including:
- Preparing, reviewing, and posting monthly journals including accruals.
- Reconciliations of various complex natural accounts, cost centers and projects.
- Updating forecasting monthly in line with current activities and strategic priorities.
- Ensuring the general ledger is maintained in an accurate manner.
- Preparing monthly management reports and Dashboards for Senior Executives.
- Undertake in-depth financial trend and variance analysis where required.
- Assist with the bi-annual budget development and management for various funding sources related to Branch activities.
- The financial management of property assets, including capitalisation and disposals.
- The financial management of contracts relevant to Branch activities, including contract creations and variations.
- Provide periodic analysis and reporting to support Branch activities and ensure quality assurance.
- Provide strategic advice and assistance to the Senior Executives and stakeholders based on technical expertise.
- Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders, internal and external, to identify opportunities, achieve outcomes and facilitate cooperation.
- Communicate and make balanced decisions using professional judgement, evaluating available information, factoring in risks and being sensitive to the context.
- Contribute to the identification, development, and implementation of opportunities to improve business management practices and processes.
- Develop and implement robust quality assurance strategies, policies, and guidance material to ensure strong financial governance arrangements.
- Provide leadership to staff, sharing learnings and supporting others to develop team capability.
- Support the Property Finance Manager with other tasks as needed.
- The Public Governance, Performance and Accountability Act 2013, and associated rules.
- Operate under limited direction, with the opportunity for reasonable autonomy and accountability.

- Lead, coach, and support staff.
- Completed or working towards a Bachelor of Accounting or equivalent.
- Completed or working towards a CA or CPA qualification.
- Experience with TechnologyOne.
- Strong Excel capabilities.
