Nursery assistantProtocol Education Agency is seeking nurturing and dedicated Supply Nursery Assistants to join our team on a flexible daily supply basis. As a Supply Nursery Assistant, you will have the exciting opportunity to work in a variety of nurseries across Chelmsford and the surrounding areas, providing essential support to childcare professionals and helping to create a stimulating and safe environment for young children.Key Responsibilities: * Childcare Support: Assist nursery staff in providing high-quality care and support to children aged 0-5 years, including feeding, changing, and engaging in age-appropriate activities.
  • Play and Learning Activities: Engage children in stimulating play and learning activities, both indoors and outdoors, to promote their physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development.
  • Health and Safety: Maintain a safe and hygienic environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including supervising children, sanitizing equipment, and ensuring the cleanliness of play areas.
  • Behaviour Management: Support the implementation of positive behaviour management strategies, fostering a calm and inclusive atmosphere within the nursery setting.
  • Communication: Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues through effective communication, providing updates on children's progress, activities, and any concerns or incidents.
  • Resource Preparation: Assist in preparing and organizing resources, materials, and equipment for daily activities and learning experiences, ensuring they are age-appropriate and accessible to children.
  • Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with nursery staff to plan and implement daily routines, activities, and experiences that meet the individual needs and interests of the children.
Requirements: * Previous experience working with young children, preferably in a nursery or early years setting within the last 3 years, is essential.
  • A genuine passion for working with children and supporting their development.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to engage and communicate effectively with young children.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in different nursery settings and with children of varying ages and needs.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
  • Availability for flexible daily supply work.
