- Lead sub-regional market analysis and support product manager in developing marketing strategy.
- Support product manager in developing pricing strategies and pricing schemes.
- Lead the analysis and strategy for identified key competitors or other external key stakeholders.
- Support and enable other key initiatives that require marketing knowledge.
- Collect and manage sub-regional market intelligence (e.g. mixed matrix, trade flow, spot liquidity, etc.) and develop market understanding and insights (e.g. cost curve, pricing dynamics, etc.)
- Support sales team in developing customer segmentation and customer pipeline (e.g. prospective customers)
- Support sales and purchase teams in tactical optimization (e.g. flex sales & purchase) leveraging the market insights.
- Work with various functions to understand netback performance for the sub-regional market and drive value enhancement initiatives.
- Support product manager in continuous improvement initiatives on marketing tools and data.
- Collaborate with product analyst on the fundamental analysis for both pricing and strategic planning purposes.
- Communicate important market dynamics/trends/knowledge to related internal stakeholders.
- Collaborate with product manager and other functions on communication to external commercial stakeholders (e.g. customers and suppliers)
- Support product manager in communication with external industry stakeholders (e.g. industry association, 3rd party consultants/publications)
- Lead the development of knowledge/insights repository with good documentation practices.
- Lead the primary research (e.g. interviews, field trips, etc.) on various themes to develop cutting-edge industry know-how.
- Develop industry network to gain insights about China market trends and key influence factors.
- Undergraduate degree in marketing, business, finance, or chemical engineering preferred.
- Top MBA would be an advantage.
- Minimum five (5) years’ work experience in commodity business or B2B marketing/commercial function.
- Experience in chemical sales/purchase/logistics would be an advantage.
- Experience in multi-national companies (corporates or consulting firms) is a must.
- Excellent English and Chinese language proficiency (spoken & written) is a must.
- Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

- Self-motivated and able to work autonomously.
