Working closely with the finance team, you will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting to ensure the effective management of our investment portfolio.Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly management accounts, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow forecasts, for our real estate investment projects.- Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into financial performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities to senior management.- Assist in the budgeting and forecasting process, collaborating with stakeholders to develop accurate financial projections and monitor performance against targets.- Manage the day-to-day accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger maintenance, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.- Assist in the preparation of financial models to evaluate investment opportunities, analyze project cash flows, and assess portfolio performance.- Support the audit process by preparing financial schedules, reconciliations, and documentation, and liaising with external auditors as needed.- Prepare and submit VAT returns, CIS returns, and other tax filings in compliance with regulatory requirements, seeking approval from tax authorities as necessary.- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including asset management, property management, and finance, to optimize investment performance and achieve strategic objectives.- Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and regulatory changes impacting the real estate investment landscape, providing recommendations for continuous improvement.Qualifications and Skills:- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) preferred. Will consider candidates straight from practice - Minimum of 1 years of experience in management accounting, financial analysis, or real estate finance, preferably within the real estate investment sector.- Strong proficiency in financial accounting software (e.g., Oracle) and Microsoft Excel- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.- Effective communication skills, with the ability to present financial information in a clear and concise manner to stakeholders at all levels.- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.- Knowledge of UK GAAP, IFRS, and relevant tax regulations governing real estate investments in the UK.- Previous experience in a real estate investment firm or property management company is desirable.- Eligibility to work in the UK without sponsorship.
