This entrepreneurial business has seen continuous year-on-year growth and is now looking to expand its team with an ambitious and dynamic Accountant with experience in US GAAP and US Tax.The company has a great culture, offers hybrid working and this role has the option of being based in the office in London or New YorkKey Responsibilities:
This role will be the lead Accountant for the US entity and will oversee the day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy and compliance with US regulations.
- Preparing management accounts for the US entity
- Managing the General Ledger, Inventory Accounting, Cost Accounting, and Revenue Recognition
- Ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and reported in the ERP system
- Facilitating supplier and overhead payments
- Preparing monthly financial statements, including necessary adjustments and reconciliations
- Preparing year-end financial statements and liaising with external auditors
- Oversee monthly payroll for entity in compliance with US regulations
- Coordinating cash flow management
- Handling monthly sales tax returns and ensuring compliance with statutory laws and financial regulations
- Support with FP&A including budgeting, forecasting and financial analysis
- Developing business processes and accounting policies to maintain internal controls
- Assisting CFO with French entity-specific queries
- Qualified Accountant / Finalist (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent)
- Detailed knowledge of US taxation and US GAAP
- Practical understanding of management accounting principles
- Proficiency in financial systems and accounting packages, preferably ERP Business Central
- Strong skills in Excel, Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
