- The Aerodynamics Team Lead will provide oversight and guidance to a team of aerodynamic engineers covering all aerodynamic work for a hypersonics missile development program.
- You will be responsible for the technical, cost, and schedule execution of the aerodynamics work scope.
- You will be responsible for the technical quality of deliverables provided by the by the aerodynamics team.
- You will work with the Integrated Hypersonic Analysis Lead and the Office of the Chief Engineer to help define priorities and approaches that provide the best balance of cost, schedule, and technical risk.
- You will communicate status, accomplishments, issues, and required support to program leadership.
- You will interact with the Program’s U.S. government customer counterparts.
- You will provide direction, oversight, and mentoring to team members.
- You will collaborate across disciplines to ensure system effectiveness.
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 10 years of aerodynamics experience with flight vehicles.
- Experience with wind tunnel testing
- Experience in hypersonic aerodynamic analysis, hypersonic trade studies, and/or hypersonic performance analysis.
- Aerodynamic model development from empirical, CFD, and/or wind tunnel data sources
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security
- Experience with mentoring and/or leading small teams
- Experience with high-speed staging systems design and analysis
- Experience with hypersonic airframe design and environments
- Knowledge of and experience with verification and validation techniques
- Experience with schedule development and Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Experience collaborating across disciplines to solve complex problems
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with senior leadership and government stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities
- Master’s or PhD Degree in an Engineering discipline, Computer Science, Math or Physics

- Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite. Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.
- Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home). An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
