- Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements.
- Manage internal and external audits as required.
- Oversee monthly payroll processes for all entities across UK ESI companies & some small European payrolls.
- Sign off and approve all payroll entities adhering to SOX compliance
- Manage PAYE and NI year end processes.
- Support payroll team with employee tax issues including P11D, P35, P60, P46.
- Provide guidance to the organisation regarding any payroll issues.
- Support with ad hoc financial accounting / financial analysis requests from GL ledger team, management and other departments.
- Work with stakeholders to ensure that employee payroll information is accurate.
- Review existing processes and systems with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
- Minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience.
- Knowledge of UK legislation on benefits, tax and pensions.
- Experience working in a manger position is preferable.
- Use of ADP Celergo or ADP Freedom will be beneficial.
- Experience managing high volume payroll calendars.
- Strong IT skills including advanced Excel.
- Positive can-do attitude, energetic, forward-thinker with strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Team player as a key member of the UK HR & Payroll team.
- Direct line manager responsibility for one Payroll Assistant.
