Our people and technical sales teams are located close to our key markets, allowing us to maintain strong customer relationships and accelerate our product innovation process.Job PurposeThe Payroll Manager will be primarily responsible for overseeing the UK payroll function (c700 employees). Managing the setup of the Regional European Shared Service function. Ensuring that all employees are paid on time, and that tax and regulatory requirements are complied with.Job ResponsibilitiesFinance Policy and Controls- Ensure compliance with ESI Payroll and HR policies by;
  • Ensuring compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) internal control requirements.
  • Manage internal and external audits as required.
Financial Operations
  • Oversee monthly payroll processes for all entities across UK ESI companies & some small European payrolls.
  • Sign off and approve all payroll entities adhering to SOX compliance
  • Manage PAYE and NI year end processes.
  • Support payroll team with employee tax issues including P11D, P35, P60, P46.
  • Provide guidance to the organisation regarding any payroll issues.
  • Support with ad hoc financial accounting / financial analysis requests from GL ledger team, management and other departments.
  • Work with stakeholders to ensure that employee payroll information is accurate.
  • Review existing processes and systems with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
Requirements & Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 years’ payroll experience.
  • Knowledge of UK legislation on benefits, tax and pensions.
Skills
  • Experience working in a manger position is preferable.
  • Use of ADP Celergo or ADP Freedom will be beneficial.
  • Experience managing high volume payroll calendars.
  • Strong IT skills including advanced Excel.

  • Team player as a key member of the UK HR & Payroll team.
EducationBachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceSupervisory Responsibilities
  • Direct line manager responsibility for one Payroll Assistant.
