You will be at the centre of reviewing and facilitating the high-quality technical delivery of Transport and Roading capital infrastructure within the Property, Infrastructure, and Parks and Reserves departments. Your role as a senior is about providing technical support and guidance and sharing your knowledge with construction and intermediate level engineers delivering Transport and Roading infrastructure projects across the District. Ensuring quality, consistency, and continuity of technical project outcomes with a focus on continuous improvement is the goal.Your oversight and guidance to Project teams during all project phases, will provide particular attention and high-level checks to design calculations, safety design reviews and adherence to relevant standards including the QLDC Land Development and Subdivision Code of Practice (LDSCP). This will see you engaging with industry suppliers and professionals ensuring the right level of professional and technical service and advice.Your influence and participation begins at project scoping and planning ensuring technical risks are identified and designs align with annual project outcomes. This will see you also sitting on QLDC's internal governance group for technical gateway approvals.Your ValueWhilst you will need to utilise your Project Management skills and training (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) from an oversight perspective, it is your Senior Engineering skill base, qualifications, knowledge, and experience that is foremost required to make the difference and deliver with excellence.You will bring 8+ years relevant experience within Transport and Roading infrastructure project delivery underpinned by a Bachelor or possibly Diploma of Engineering.Your experience in representing client-side in design reviews, and leading technical assurance will be a core part of your role.Beyond this you will be expected to demonstrate strong technical competence and sound decision making capability in Transport and Roading, design from a management and sustainability perspective, risk identification and mitigation, and infrastructure planning and implementation.In order to be successful in the role your strong and clear communication skills, including solid independent technical report writing together with well-developed negotiation and commercial skills will be your key tools in your toolbox.This is an excellent opportunity to be involved in key infrastructural work whilst living in one of the best playgrounds in the country.Applications close 24 May 2024To be considered you must contact Echelon Group directly as applications through other agencies will not be considered or accepted.For a confidential enquiry, contact Gerald van LooyTel:
