We are seeking an experienced and organised Executive Sous Chef to join our kitchen team. This newly created role will oversee the seamless coordination and management of all kitchen operations, including the pastry, larder, hot, TemptAsian and outlet kitchens. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, the Executive Sous Chef will be instrumental in improving communication, ensuring operational efficiency and driving cost-effective practices.Responsibilities:
  • Manage and coordinate the operations of all kitchen sections ensuring smooth workflows
  • Supervise and mentor section chefs, promoting collaboration and accountability
  • Enhance communication systems across the kitchen team to optimise service delivery
  • Assist in menu planning, food preparation and maintaining quality standards
  • Monitor food costs and implement measures for cost control and efficiency
  • Uphold health, safety, and hygiene standards across all kitchens​
Requirements:
  • Culinary degree or equivalent education
  • Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques,
  • Excellent leadership, communication, culinary and innovation skills
  • Pro-active problem solving and decision-making capabilities
  • Effective team management
  • Fluent in English
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Able to work on their own initiative
  • Previous experience working in a similar environment will be considered an asset
