The Release Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth delivery of software and hardware changes in an agile environment. This position requires a strategic mindset, effective communication, and a commitment to continuous improvement.What You Will Do:Release Management: Establish and maintain a streamlined release management process, focusing on continuous improvement and agility. Ensure effective collaboration with stakeholders to tailor the process to the organization's unique needs.Cross-Stream Coordination: Manage release activities across multiple development streams and a new state expansion/rollout project stream, ensuring high-quality releases.Process Improvement: Work with IT management to enhance software engineering processes and practices related to continuous integration and deployment.Team Collaboration: Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Release Captains, and other stakeholders to drive process improvements and automate workflows. Participate in a Release Community of Practice to share best practices and implement improvements.Release Planning: Develop and manage the release calendar, coordinating with third parties and vendors to ensure successful releases. Plan release windows and cycles, and manage risks that could impact scope, schedule, or quality. Ensure all interested parties have visibility of future release plans.Communication: Effectively communicate release plans, commitments, and changes to a diverse range of stakeholders. Coordinate release content based on backlogs, third-party applications, and operating system updates.Release Readiness: Contribute to Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Business Go/No-Go reviews. Support Deployment, Run Books, and Implementation Plans.Technical Release Management: Host and oversee release calls, coordinating DevOps resource and QA activities to ensure seamless deployments that are tested to a high standard.Reporting: Produce weekly release reports to track progress and ensure timely delivery. Maintain a repository of release artifacts, including build and release procedures, dependencies, and notification lists.Release Preparation: Prepare high quality release notes, working with the delivery teams to present the technical content in a format suitable for compliance and regulators.Compliance: Work with the compliance team to ensure that release management processes and implementation align with regulatory requirements.Technical Change Management: Organize and lead technical change reviews to ensure proper impact assessment without excessive ITIL structure.Incident Management: Support the Operational Incident Management teams in managing production incidents, owning resolutions for any post-release issuesWhat You Will Need:Experience: 3-5 years in release management, preferably in an agile software product development environmentCoaching Skills: Ability to act as a "Release Coach," working with agile teams and "Release Captains" to improve processes and drive ownershipTechnical Coordination: Manage relationships and coordinate work between different teams and locationsRisk Management: Skilled in managing risks and resolving issues that affect release scope, schedule, or qualityCommunication and Organization: Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate complex release activities across multiple teamsLeadership and Collaboration: Capable of leading Go-Live activities, including deployment plans and checklists, while fostering a collaborative environmentConfluence/Jira Experience: Familiarity with Confluence and Jira software is beneficialWhat makes you stand out:A passion for sports, sports betting, online games, and/or casino gamesPassion for achieving excellence in technical, process, product quality, and reliabilityBeing extremely detail and technology-oriented and possess excellent communication skillsYou are a Self-Starter who can take ownership of your work in a fast-paced environmentExperience working on or closely with DevOps teamsExperience doing code reviews for ScalaAbility to build trusting relationships with peers, teams, and leadersAbility to lead through influence, not hierarchyYou empower and inspire upcoming rising stars on your teamYou see things through to the end and set the example for your team to followYou are not afraid to work outside of their comfort zoneThis role is remote, with one required visit to your designated home office per quarter.Home Office: Krakow, PolandAbout Us:Behold!
