- Plan and deliver dynamic and interactive Food Technology lessons that align with the national curriculum and promote practical skills development, nutritional awareness, and culinary creativity.
- Provide hands-on instruction and support to students in the kitchen, guiding them through food preparation, cooking techniques, and recipe creation.
- Introduce students to a variety of culinary traditions and cuisines, fostering an appreciation for diverse cultures and food experiences.
- Promote health and safety practices in the kitchen, ensuring students understand and adhere to food hygiene standards and safe cooking practices.
- Assess student progress through practical assignments, projects, and assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their growth and development in Food Technology.
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Food Technology, Home Economics, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching Food Technology at the secondary level, with a passion for inspiring students and fostering a love for culinary arts and nutrition.
- Strong practical culinary skills and knowledge of food preparation techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate students of all abilities.
