- Reporting into the Group Brand Manager, you'll be responsible for creative design that includes photography, illustration and presentation of assets. Accountable for ensuring all output meets brand guidelines, quality requirements, audience needs and strategic objectives.
- Creating and developing graphic design visual materials such as templates, printed and digital assets with an aim to ensure brand compliance and effectiveness. In addition, support with photo post production/enhancement where applicable.
- Contributing to the development of other creative assets (in partnership with the Group Content creator), such as video, social media, events, photo shoots and web pages.
- Contributing to creative ideation and concept development for campaigns and initiatives as required by core Group functions, including: Group Brand, Employee Communication, Employer Reputation and Talent Attraction.
- Ensuring that design assets are produced to agreed quality standards and timing, by managing own workload through a traffic management and effective briefing system, guided by the Group Brand Manager.
- Building and maintaining knowledge of design trends, ways of working and supporting platforms, through building internal relationships and regularly monitoring external information sources, to contribute to the Group Brand team and adjacent teams.
- Closely supporting on the Brand Hub (DAM system), ensuring that assets are managed appropriately, new learnings are clearly well articulated and support with the building of new pages where appropriate.
- Ensuring communications are clear, fair, and not misleading and are fully compliant with any rules and guidance issued by the relevant regulators, including relevant protection legislation.
- You'll need a Degree in graphic design or visual communications or related field, or knowledge and skills built through self-study and professional experience.
- Proficient at layout design, including photo editing and manipulation cropping, retouching and resizing and visual communications principles.
- Proficient in colour theory and knowledge of how to use colour effectively and harmoniously to creative attractive and impactful design commensurate with campaign and content objectives.
- Solid understanding of typography and ability to work with various fonts, spacing, and layouts.
- Understanding of accessibility needs for audience members who are neurodiverse or visually impaired.
- Knowledge of multimedia production, video editing, or web design an advantage.
- Broad creative design skills and experience working within an agency or in-house within a creative service, brand, marketing or communications team.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign). Advantageous to be knowledgeable of other industry software such as: Canva and Sketch.
