Senior Engineer- Studio Engineering Position Summary / Job Responsibility To be located at the India Studio, Pune Should be able to creatively bridge Design (Styling) & Engineering, working to convert concepts into production-reality with zero or minimal deviation from the approved design theme. Interface & arbitrate/negotiate cross-functionally with the Engineering & Supply Chain Groups to deliver solutions to technical challenges, making sure that Design-Intent is maintained. Presents the importance & needs of Design Interface with Engineering cross functional team.Education Graduate or postgraduate level qualification in Mechanical / Automotive from a reputed institution. Additional skillset related to surface engineering would be an advantage. Work Experience 6-8 years of overall Engineering experience in a Global Automotive OEM including a strong personal contribution in a Core Body an d Trims Area. Well versed with Plastic engineering process, tool design , materials etc Hands on experience in realization of De sign themes complete cycle.Tata Motors Leadership Competencies Demonstrate the expertise with high focus on Design studio output. Teamwork and interfacing skillsFunctional Competencies Functional knowledge of all Vehicle Systems & Components and a passio n for Engineering. Ability to think out of the box and bring fresh ideas not found in Design standards and data books. Experie nce in Packaging & Integration function Knowledge of Manufacturing Processes in Plastic Moulding, Sheet Metal Stamping. Intera ction with Suppliers Hands-On experience on CATIA is a must
