This role is an exceptional position for someone to really take ownership in all areas of Engineering and enhance the working Environment.Package Details:
  • £42,000 - £46,000 + Annual Bonus

Duties of the role:Team Management:
  • Leading and managing a team of engineers, technicians, and other staff involved in engineering activities. This involves hiring, training, scheduling, and performance management.
Project Planning and Execution:
  • Planning, organizing, and overseeing engineering projects related to the production process, including the installation, maintenance, and upgrade of machinery and equipment.
Budgeting and Cost Control:
  • Developing and managing budgets for engineering projects and operations, ensuring cost-effectiveness and efficiency in resource utilization.
Equipment Maintenance:
  • Implementing and managing preventive maintenance programs to ensure the continuous operation of machinery and equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
Quality Assurance:
  • Ensuring that engineering processes and equipment meet quality and safety standards required for food and drink production, including compliance with regulatory requirements.
Process Improvement:
  • Identifying opportunities for process optimization and improvement in equipment performance, reliability, and efficiency.
Supplier Management:
  • Collaborating with suppliers and vendors to procure machinery, parts, and services required for engineering operations, negotiating contracts and ensuring timely delivery of materials.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
  • Working closely with other departments such as production, quality control, and logistics to ensure smooth coordination and alignment of engineering activities with overall business objectives.
Continuous Learning and Development:
  • Keeping up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices through ongoing learning and professional development activities.
Required Skills:
  • Time served Engineer NVQ/Guilds qualified – essential
  • Track record in Production – essential
  • Qualifications in IOSH/NEBOSH preferred but not essential
  • Electrical qualification – Preferred but not essential – Mechanically biased
