As the largest nonprofit affordable housing provider in the nation, we build, preserve, and manage program-enriched housing across the country.The Regional Facilities Manager will ensure that physical asset-related operations at the properties in the Southeast Region are in compliance with all applicable federal and local laws and regulations, the standards and expectations of Operational Excellence, other stated guidelines of Mercy Services Corporation (MSC), and Mercy Housing. Completes all reasonable work-related directives given by his/her supervisor and above. Responsible for monitoring and directing all physical asset-related activities with site-level personnel and other Mercy Housing-related departments to ensure that the Essential Functions are met on a regular and consistent basis.We encourage individuals with lived experience to apply. Duties:
  • Assures that high-level capital projects are completed with quality while achieving cost savings.
  • Oversees major building systems replacements and repairs and complex maintenance issues from diagnosis through scope of work and completion.
  • Identifies alternative methods of repairs and negotiates contracts to achieve cost savings.
  • Assists in implementation of procurement standardization and compliance with national purchasing initiatives.
  • Completes all required reports for assigned properties.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Five (5) years of experience in physical plant maintenance or construction management.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Real Estate, or related field.
  • Credential or license in construction, architecture, or facilities management.
Knowledge and Skills:
  • Comprehend and communicate in the English language both orally and in writing.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge of the tools and test equipment associated with the repair and service of mechanical equipment.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the reading of blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Work in a collaborative manner and in a team environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
