- Maintain incident tracking and solution database.
- Perform asset management/inventory/licenses of information technology (IT) resources.
- Update and maintain any existing documentation, such as Policies and Procedures e.g. New Starter and Leaver process, Acceptable User Policies.
- Develop and document systems administration standard operating procedures.
- Design group policies and access control lists to ensure compatibility with organisational standards, business rules, and needs.
- Manage accounts, network rights, and access to systems and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve customer reported system incidents, problems, and events.
- Install and configure hardware, software, and peripheral equipment for system users.
- Install, Configure and Manage system/server resources including performance, capacity, availability, serviceability, and recoverability.
- Plan, execute, and verify backup, data redundancy and system recovery procedures.
- Contribute to system implementation projects (specification, costing and business impact assessment).
- MCSA, Cisco IT Essentials, CompTIA A+ would be desirable.
- Windows Server 2012/2016/2019/2022.
- Hyper-V.
- Administrative Roles (Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, File Server Resource Manager, Group Policy/Intune).
- Microsoft 365 Cloud administration (Azure, Exchange, Office).
- Office 365 Apps.
- Firewall (FortiGate).
- Backup administration.
- Anti-virus administration.
- Print management.
- Networking (TCP/IP, Client-Server).
- IT support experience.
- A proven track record of network support and management including the configuration of managed network devices.
- Previous experience in a PC or network support role with experience of supporting networks, firewalls and virus protection infrastructure.
- Computer networking concepts and protocols, and network security methodologies.
- Systems administration concepts.
- Physical computer components and architectures, including the functions of various components and peripherals (e.g. CPUs, Network Interface Cards, data storage).
- IT system operation, maintenance, and security needed to keep equipment functioning properly.
- Conducting research for troubleshooting novel client-level problems.
