- Install, configure, troubleshoot, and maintain Navy Assured Compliance Assessment System (ACAS) collection system server and systems configurations (hardware and software) to ensure confidentiality, integrity, and availability. Administers server-based systems, security devices, distributed applications, network storage, messaging, and performs systems monitoring.
- Consults on network, application, and customer service issues to support computer systems’ security and sustainability.
- Manage and supervise Watch Floor Shift Operations, and liaise with Governmental representatives as required.
- Facilitate delivery of ESS SME tracking / artifacts / documentation to the ESS Overarching Project Management / Team Lead or his / her designated representative.
- Implement ACAS installation and configuration, manage/maintain ACAS user and scan management in
- Development of reports that support environment compliance and implementation status.
- Coordinate ESS Enterprise Operations perspectives with Navy Tier II entities; to support all Navy Tier III Commands, along with other government and/or contractor entities.
- Synthesize ESS system requirements; identify and assess alternative solutions; prepare recommendations as required; prepare work plans, schedules, and government directed actions to support ESS security engineering.
- Responsible for providing In-Progress Reviews, scheduling updates, impact of Tasking Order (TASKORD), impact of design changes to ESS infrastructure; responsible for ensuring the enterprise configurations.
- Monitor and analyze ESS modules to include but not limited to Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS) Policy Auditor (PA), Rogue System Detection (RSD), Device Control Module (DCM), Asset Publishing Service (APS) to identify security issues for remediation; performance tuning; to enable policy changes and exception (e.g. General, IPS, and Firewall).
- Analyze ESS alert data and develop strategies for threat assessments. Initiate corrective actions to resolve discrepancies and compile reports needed to brief leadership and Navy commands on corrective actions required.
- Communicate alerts to Navy commands regarding intrusions and compromises to their network infrastructure, applications and operating systems to assist with implementation of ESS counter-measures or mitigating controls.
- Performs periodic and on-demand system audits and vulnerability assessments, including user accounts, application access, and file systems to determine compliance.
- Ensures the integrity and protection of networks, systems, and applications by technical enforcement of organizational security policies, via ESS.
- Minimum 10 years of IT experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience administrating ESS ePolicy Orchestrator (ePO)
- Minimum 5 years of experience working with Trellix Suite of Security Tools
- Minimum 1 year of experience in working with Intrusion Detection adn Prevention Systems (IDPS)
- Active Top Secret clearance required
- Knowledge and experience in working with Host Intrusion Prevention System (HIPS), Virus Scan Enterprise (VSE), Endpoint Security (ENS), Application Control and Change Control (ACCC), Data Loss Prevention Endpoint products (DLP), Policy Auditor (PA).
- Required level of effort for an ESS Software Management SME III: maintain a 24/7/365 helpdesk consisting of multiple Day, Evening, Midnight and Weekend Shifts.
