The Africa Health Research Institute (AHRI) seeks to appoint a Postdoctoral Research Fellow (PDRF) to work with an interdisciplinary team on a new project which seeks to estimate the social, economic, health and healthcare impact of the April 2022 KwaZulu-Natal floods on PLHIV and evaluate high priority policy interventions using participatory methods and multi-criteria decision analysis.Due to the increased frequency and severity of extreme weather events (EWEs), such as floods in South Africa, there is the increased risk of poor health outcomes especially for the most vulnerable populations, especially people living with HIV (PLHIV), in our society. This is because the impacts of these events can be unevenly experienced and managed by different societies and population groups.
