- Oversee daily operations and ensure operational excellence across 2-3 surgical units, aligning with our standards of patient care and service.
- Oversee direct reports of 2-3 hospital managers, 15-20 technicians, including 3-5 leads technicians.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation, particularly in the adoption and utilization of technological tools in veterinary surgery.
- Hire highly competent individuals and provide comprehensive training to ensure excellence in performance and alignment with organizational goals
- Become PIMS subject matter expert (SME), ensuring minimal disruption and maximized clinic performance.
- Utilize and expand current technician and staff training systems.
- Act as a primary point of contact for all clinical leads and technician staff, ensuring accountability, high performance, and career growth.
- Identify gaps in technician knowledge and skills, conducting regular assessments and training to uphold our high standards.
- Promote a positive work environment, ensuring staff well-being, and maintaining low turnover rates.
- Ensure hospitals are well-stocked by maintaining sufficient inventory levels.
- Manage equipment maintenance and repair, including troubleshooting issues and leading preventative maintenance efforts to ensure peak performance.
- Veterinary Technician Duties: Assume hands-on responsibilities as needed, demonstrating expertise and providing direct care to ensure the highest quality of service.
- Ensure continuous staff coverage through proactive management of scheduled and unexpected absences.
- Certification as a Veterinary Practice Manager (CVPM) or extensive experience in veterinary surgery practice management.
- Proven expertise in the use and management of various PIMS, with a successful track record of becoming the PIMS SME.
- Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills, with the ability to drive change and innovation.
- Strong background in veterinary surgery practice management, with a clear understanding of the unique operational needs of surgical units.
- Independent, proactive problem-solver with a high attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in office software (Word, Excel, Google Suite), email platforms (Gmail), with strong typing, navigation, internet research abilities, and foundational skills in data entry and database management.
- Commitment and adaptability to growth within an organization with willingness to undertake diverse roles and engage in detail-oriented tasks as part of a dynamic and expanding team.
