Salary: £36,648 - £42,403 per annum (competitive, dependent on experience)Sanctuary Personnel is currently looking for a dedicated Occupational Therapist specialising in Adults and Housing Adaptations to join our client's team. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults requiring housing adaptations to support their independence and quality of life.Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of adults requiring housing adaptations to determine their needs and abilities.
  • Develop personalised treatment plans tailored to the individual's goals and circumstances, focusing on maximising independence and enhancing quality of life.
  • Collaborate closely with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and housing providers to ensure seamless coordination of care and services.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on suitable adaptations and assistive equipment to promote safety, accessibility, and comfort within the home environment.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions, making adjustments to treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes in accordance with professional standards and organisational policies.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Occupational Therapy from a recognised institution.
  • Full registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as an Occupational Therapist.
  • Proven experience working with adults in a healthcare or social care setting, with a focus on housing adaptations and/or disability support.
  • Strong assessment and analytical skills, with the ability to identify individual needs and develop appropriate interventions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines governing housing adaptations and disability rights in the UK.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible approach to service delivery.
