- Communications experience in both corporate and operational environments - comfortable working in internal, digital and external communications and managing communications for change programmes and business initiatives. A bachelor's degree in communications and/or journalism (or a related field) is desirable
- A trusted communications partner with a proven track record in partnering at all levels of the business up to senior executives to successfully develop and implement communication plans that support business objectives and enhance brand reputation
- Written communication skills, with a journalistic approach and high levels of professionalism and attention to detail
- A genuine passion for writing and producing effective and strategic business copy efficiently and accurately
- The ability to adapt copy for different employee audiences is essential, particularly where English is not the first language
- A strong project manager with the ability to multitask and prioritise
- The ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt quickly to changing priorities
- Creativity with attention to detail and ability to 'get things done' at pace
- An effective team player
- technical skills in MS Office suite & SharePoint and software that supports the creation of communications
- Experience of managing junior team members across several communications disciplines is desirable
