- Conduct structural assessments and review design documentation in accordance with defined specifications and scope, considering budget constraints and contractual obligations.
- Prepare reports, certificates, or documents in an agreed format and within specified timelines.
- Collect, analyze, and present data effectively.
- Establish and maintain technical file systems, as well as manage computer databases, providing administrative support as needed.
- Communicate customer feedback promptly and effectively.
- Perform tasks in compliance with internal procedures, accreditation schemes, legislation, and industry standards.
- Propose suggestions to enhance service delivery effectiveness by recommending changes to processes or work scope, aiming to reduce appraisal efforts where feasible.
- Engage in continuous professional development to uphold a high level of discipline knowledge and awareness.
- A BEng or MEng degree, or equivalent qualification, from a tertiary institution recognized by Lloyd’s Register renowned in the field of structural engineering.
- Proficiency in the English language, including adeptness in report writing and preparing technical reports, suitable for the responsibilities of the role.
- Profound knowledge of structural engineering design principles essential for designing and analyzing steel or concrete structures. Familiarity and understanding of offshore structures would be advantageous.
- Familiarity with and understanding of relevant industry Codes and Standards, references, as well as procedures and practices of Classification, Certification, Verification, and Validation applicable to respective design appraisal services concerning the ocean economy industries' areas of operation.
