Senior Interior Designer Job in Roehampton, LondonA is now available, with a luxury residential practice in South West London! This position will involve creating and curating exquisite interiors for national and international projects. The successful candidate will work directly with craftsmen designing unique pieces therefore a good understanding of finishes and materiality is essential. Salary of circa £60,000 but flexible for outstanding candidates.A multi-award-winning, luxury developer with properties in the UK, primarily in SW London, and internationally in the South of France and Mauritius. Their projects range in size from 18,000 sq. ft through to 28,000 sq. ft and their designs are an understated mixture of classic design with a contemporary twist.With a pipeline of very exciting projects they are currently looking for an experienced Interior Designer to join their team. The perfect candidate will be passionate about intricate and thoughtful interiors and have a good understanding of proportion and balance. As a senior, you will be able to work across all project stages and lead internal and external teams when needed.Role & Responsibilities
  • Working on luxury residential projects from start to installation
  • Concept design and space planning
  • Producing/overseeing mood and presentation boards
  • Working on all FF&E stages
  • Designing bespoke joinery
  • Working closely with in house architects and other teams
  • Visiting site, international travel will be required from time to time
  • Liaising directly with contractors, suppliers, craftsmen and artists.
Required Skills & Experience
  • A minimum of 6 years’ experience working on luxury residential projects. Hospitality experience would be a bonus
  • Proven experience working on projects from initial concept through to completion
  • Experience working on a mixture of historical buildings and contemporary projects
  • FF&E experience
  • Understanding of English, French, Italian design styles
  • A passion for art and antiques and/or contemporary pieces would be highly beneficial
  • Proven experience sourcing antiques and pieces
  • Have a fantastic eye for detail
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Happy to be hands-on and have direct contact with contractors and builders
  • Have a flexible approach and be able to multi-task
  • Self-motivated and able to work using your own initiative
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD, Sketch Up and Adobe Suite.
