The SeniorAssociate will be responsible for the distillation of strategic portfolio insights and the support and execution of workstreams across the Insights focus area within in the Portfolio Management team within Blackstone Real Estate. This work will involve the tracking, consolidation, reporting and distillation / presentation of information and insights across all real estate sectors and strategies globally. This professional will work closely with Blackstone Real Estate’s senior management team as well as asset management, finance, investor relations, data science, public affairs and portfolio companies to deliver compelling analysis and analytics to support the business. This professional will employ a range of skill sets, with primary areas of responsibility including:Responsibilities:
  • Investment and Economic Knowledge. Proficiency in and understanding of real estate investment (including sector-level knowledge of key metrics), economic concepts and data analysis as well as Blackstone Real Estate’s global funds and investments
  • Portfolio and Research Insights: Source, summarize, present and disseminate real-time information from the global portfolio, real estate market, macroeconomic environment and capital markets; work in partnership with regional Portfolio Management counterparts in Europe and Asia, the Portfolio Management and Asset Management teams in the U.S. and broader Blackstone groups, such as Public Affairs, Marketing, Finance, etc.
  • Special Projects: Participation in and execution of global special projects relating to investment considerations, fundamental real estate trends, portfolio information and strategy / positioning of the Real Estate business
Qualifications:Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
  • 5+ years of professional experience in a real estate-related role
  • Prior work experience in real estate private equity, investor relations, consulting, finance and / or
accounting is preferred
  • Experience training and mentoring talent
  • The ability to multi-task and execute a wide range of assignments, often under pressure to meet
demanding deadlines
  • Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel with the ability to write effectively and produce
concise, visually appealing presentations
  • Superior attention to detail, resourcefulness and ability to work autonomously
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Candidate should be enthusiastic, collaborative and someone who thrives on challenge in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Strong work ethic, an entrepreneurial spirit, and a desire to learn
