- Design of site development, grading, utilities, roadway, drainage and other key elements of civil engineering projects
- Prepare hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and develop stormwater water management strategies and plans
- Carry out site assessments and develop design schemes for new construction or redevelopment projects
- Prepare and review drawings ranging from conceptual and feasibility studies to detailed design and construction documents
- Build 3D models in a BIM design environment and perform design optimizations, quantity evaluations, and clash detections
- Perform system design calculations and prepare technical reports for internal and external purposes based on findings
- Work with the local agencies to understand their land use and permit processes
- Coordinate with internal and external design partners including SMEP, architecture and landscape architecture, geotechnical engineering, transportation planning, urban planning, environmental engineering, and cost engineering
- Perform construction phase engineering support
- Participate in proposal writing and marketing activities
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred.
- California EIT license, PE preferred
- 4+ years of experience in civil engineering/site development
- Knowledge of core civil engineering fundamentals such as hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, low impact development, utility design, grading and earthwork, roadway and geometric alignments, and accessibility standards.
- Working knowledge of civil engineering design and analysis software, particularly AutoCAD Civil 3D.
