Do you have considerable financial knowledge and experience of budget monitoring, are you familiar with the Councils SAP System?The Passenger Travel Team provides escorted transport for 1000 pupils with special educational needs and disabilities to schools within Kirklees and beyond, 3,000 bus passes and boarding cards, transport for older people to day care and other provisions for after school clubs and short breaks/respite.A temporary opportunity has become available for an Assistant Finance Officer to oversee day to day financial support within the Passenger Travel Service.You will be responsible to a Senior Officer within the team, where you will be required to support with all financial tasks within the team. The work involves processing large amounts of invoices and dealing with complex queries relating to these invoices, maintaining accurate values on purchase order lines, tracking expenditure against the budget and producing spend forecasts. You will develop the financial information supplied to managers and work alongside Heads of Service, to ensure they receive financial support, to help them run those services.An enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service check will be required for this job.
