Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant£77-95 DailyWe are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for supporting students with special needs, ensuring they receive the tailored assistance and encouragement they need to succeed academically and personally.Key Responsibilities: * Provide one-on-one support to students with special educational needs, including those with learning disabilities, physical disabilities, behavioural challenges, and other learning difficulties.
  • Assist the SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) and classroom teachers in planning and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.
  • Support students in accessing the curriculum, adapting teaching materials and activities as necessary to accommodate their learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued, respected, and supported.
  • Help students develop essential life skills, social skills, and independence, both inside and outside the classroom.
  • Collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development and well-being of students with special needs.
  • Monitor student progress and behaviour, providing feedback to the SENCo and other relevant stakeholders as needed.
Qualifications and Skills: * Previous experience working with students with special educational needs is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications such as a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate or equivalent are preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish positive relationships with students, colleagues, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for working with students with special needs.
  • Flexibility and adaptability, with the ability to respond effectively to the changing needs of students and the school environment.
  • A commitment to promoting inclusion, equality, and diversity within the school community.
