Position Summary Position DescriptionThe faculty member will conduct research activities as well as teach primarily graduate courses, either online or face-to-face, in one or more of the following curricular areas: organizational and learning analytics, research methods, workplace learning, organizational development and learning, human resource development, program evaluation, instructional design and technology, learning sciences, and other closely related areas. This faculty member will also advise graduate students and serve on and chair thesis and dissertation committees in the Organization, Information, and Learning Sciences (OILS) program. The individual will collaborate across fields in their research/teaching. We are seeking faculty members with a dedication to actively contributing to the betterment of New Mexico and a passion for enriching and positively impacting the state's communities. In addition, the individual will be expected to pursue extramural funding. This is a full-time, 9-month, tenure-track faculty position. The annual salary is negotiable based on qualifications and includes full benefits.Primary Duties
- Conduct research in OILS areas such as learning analytics, workplace learning, human resource development, learning sciences, or learning design and technology.
- Teaching load of 4 courses per academic year within the OILS program, primarily in the graduate degree programs.
- Advise master's and doctoral-level graduate students specializing in OILS focus areas
- Provide service to the program, college, university, and community
- Participate in faculty governance as detailed in the UNM Faculty Handbook
QualificationsEducation and ExperienceMinimum Requirements:
- An earned doctorate by start date in Organizational Learning, Workplace Learning, Human Resource Development, Organization Development, Industrial and Organizational Psychology, Social Psychology, Data Sciences, Educational Psychology, Learning Sciences or a closely related field.
- Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence in recent scholarship work in organizational and learning analytics in the context of workplace and organizational learning, human resource development, or organization development. Experience with Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a plus.
- Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence teaching courses in organizational and learning analytics in the context of workplace and organizational learning, human resource development, or organization development. Interest in teaching Artificial Intelligence (AI) is a plus.
- Evidence of excellence or potential in interdisciplinary scholarly collaboration
- Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence supervising and advising students.
- Evidence of excellence or potential for excellence teaching online, face-to-face, and hybrid courses.
- Recent evidence of excellence or potential for excellence in pursuing extramural funding.
- Experience and interest in working with adult learners.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
