We work with clients to deliver certainty and maximize their return on investment, delivering effective program management, project and cost management and project controls services.Our services are underpinned by our market-leading digital products, collectively providing a single source of truth to deliver predictable outcomes, everywhere.As we move forward with the expansion of our European Industrials business, we now seek experienced Cost Managers / Quantity Surveyors who will join us in helping us deliver these demanding, high value, complex projects.Job DescriptionWe are seeking Cost Managers to act as the day-to-day interface with our clients helping to drive projects to achieve an excellent outcome. You will have worked on major construction projects in the Chemicals, Industrial, Manufacturing, Data Centers or Pharma sectors. You will either specialize in pre-contract cost planning and estimating activities or post-contract commercial management and will bring your practical expertise and best practice experience and be comfortable operating in a client-facing role, leading project teams, and managing difficult stakeholders.This role will involve travel to Wroclow.Job Objectives
  • Pre and post-contract duties including preparation of cost estimates, procurement and tendering, contract administration, variation, final account, etc.
  • Completing feasibility studies and writing procurement reports
  • Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan
  • Tendering and procurement activity, including managing the pre-qualification stage, producing the tender list, preliminaries, tender analysis, tender report and compiling the contractual documents
  • Taking responsibility for timely and accurate cost checks and valuations
  • Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client
  • Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages
  • Participate effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes
  • Perform cost risk analysis and provide input into value engineering; negotiate and approve final accounts
  • Maintain central feedback and learning on cost estimating from prospects and projects and contribute to updating of best practices in estimating
Skills Required
  • High-Tech Manufacturing with experience with clean rooms
  • Technical knowledge of Industrial, MEP, Semiconductor, Data Center, Life Sciences, Healthcare, Pharma, Real Estate, Residential, Commercial or other related facility asset types.
  • Good knowledge of all methods of construction and procurement.
  • Inquisitive, technical knowledge with an passion for working on similar asset types.
  • Experienced with, or managing team that uses multiple estimating tools and applications.
  • Strong experience with spreadsheets and databases.
  • Collaborative approach, able to develop strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, internally and externally.
  • Good organization skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Demonstrated strong listening and communication skills.
  • Proven cost and/or commercial management experience, ideally within a consultancy environment.
Qualifications
  • Experience in High-Tech Manufacturing, experience with clean rooms preferred.
  • RICS or equivalent accreditation (or working towards). Member of a Professional Institute preferred.
