- Accessibility Evaluations: Conduct thorough accessibility evaluations for web pages and applications across desktop and mobile platforms.
- Testing and Analysis: Utilize intelligent accessibility testing tools, assistive technologies, and manual analysis to identify and address potential issues proactively.
- Documentation: Clearly document accessibility findings and provide actionable recommendations to our development teams.
- Training and Support: Participate in accessibility training sessions for UX, development, and QA testing teams, answering questions and offering practical solutions.
- Knowledge Sharing: Stay abreast of the latest developments in accessibility, collaborating with team members to implement cutting-edge solutions.
- Continuous Learning: Demonstrate a passion for continuous learning, absorbing and sharing new ideas, approaches, and techniques to achieve accessibility.
- Collaborative Approach: Work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver optimal accessibility solutions.
- Monitoring and Advocacy: Monitor the accessibility of Oracle's public-facing websites, actively supporting teams in resolving accessibility issues and championing accessibility leadership.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent degree/relevant experience (preferred).
- Experience: 3-5 years of experience working with HTML, JavaScript, and CSS (preferred).
- Accessibility Expertise: Develop a deep understanding of accessibility techniques, guidelines, and the challenges faced by individuals with disabilities and aging populations.
- WCAG Mastery: Possess in-depth knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.1).
- Web Development Proficiency: Demonstrate a strong grasp of accessibility techniques in web development, applying HTML, CSS, ARIA, and JavaScript.
- Assistive Technologies: Use assistive technologies across multiple platforms, including JAWS on PC and iOS VoiceOver.
- Prioritization Skills: Ability to prioritize accessibility issues based on user impact.
- Design Review: Review designs and advise UX teams on accessibility requirements.
- Education and Support: Teach and support teams in becoming accessibility-independent over time through knowledge sharing.
