- Use insights to contribute to the bank’s product roadmap and/or company strategy
- Use input from customer insights, data, industry, and company strategy to find customer problems worth solving
- Effectively leverage Design Thinking principles through the product discovery: Empathize, Define, Ideate, Prototype, Test
- Ensure desirability, feasibility, and viability of product concepts
- Define product requirements, features, and specifications
- Conduct product design, including buy/build analysis
- Construct and communicate effective business cases
- Drive cross-functional execution of identified solutions, including Go-to-Market approach
- Partner with stakeholders such as Risk/Compliance, Marketing, Finance, Technology, Data, Operations, Sales, and external vendor partners to deliver products
- Ensure effective communication, alignment, and collaboration with relevant internal and external stakeholders through the entire product development lifecycle
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Advocate for the bank and its customers to ensure products meet customer needs
- Lead cross-functional teams towards goals without having direct formal authority
- Bachelors degree required or equivalent combination of experience and education
- 5+ years in banking, finance, technology, product, or similar
- Experience generating effective product insights from customer conversations and surveys required
- Understanding of financial products and concepts required
- Basic data analysis proficiency preferred
- Proficiency with large server-based applications and typical desktop software required
