Principal People are excited to be recruiting for a Safety, Health, Environment and Quality Manager to join a highly established utilities organisation who are seeking a passionate and innovative leader to join the safety team. This role will offer you the opportunity to work within a leadership position working in both a strategic and operational capacity. This role is to pay £55-62k + Package.The successful SHEQ Manager will be required to utilise a people focused approach to health and safety whilst demonstrating their leadership capabilities for this progressive organisation.The successful SHEQ Manager will be responsible for:
  • Supporting the Senior SHEQ Manager in ensuring overall SHEQ compliance across the business and contract.
  • Rolling out SHEQ Behavioural & Cultural initiatives and training
  • Ensuring Capital Teams comply with their legal duties and responsibilities
  • Carrying out audits and inspections
  • Compliance to CDM regulations
  • Supporting the development and implementation of the Health and Safety Environmental strategy and plan
  • Ensure compliance with Health and Safety management systems
The minimum requirements for this role are:
  • NEBOSH General Certificate minimum
  • NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (Desirable)
  • Experience within Utilities, Water, Construction, Civil Engineering
  • Experience / Understanding of CDM responsibilities.
  • Strong communication abilities, able to liaise at all levels
  • Strong leadership qualities and ability to drive change.
  • Flexible to travel primarily throughout West / South Wales
