Responsibilities
  • Proactively monitor, analyze, and interpret logs, alerts, and events from Palo Alto firewalls, next-generation firewalls (NGFWs), and related security tools
  • Perform complex configuration changes, updates, and upgrades on Palo Alto Networks devices, ensuring compliance with security policies and best practices
  • Lead the implementation, deployment, and integration of new Palo Alto Network Security solutions, including next-generation firewalls, VPNs, and advanced threat prevention features
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues related to Palo Alto Networks security devices, such as network connectivity, policy conflicts, performance bottlenecks, and security incidents
  • Collaborate with the network, system, and application teams to ensure effective integration of Palo Alto Networks security solutions with the broader IT infrastructure
  • Provide advanced-level support and guidance to end-users on the effective utilization of Palo Alto Networks security features and functionalities
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation on the configuration and operation of the Palo Alto Networks security environment, including reviewing disaster recovery and business continuity plans
  • Actively participate in security reviews, audits, and compliance activities related to the Palo Alto Networks security controls, and recommend improvements
  • Stay informed of the latest Palo Alto Networks security features, best practices, and industry trends, and share knowledge with the team to enhance the organization's security posture
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of security policies, standards, and procedures relevant to the Palo Alto Networks environment
Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in network security administration, specifically with Palo Alto Network Security infrastructure.
  • Proficiency in configuring, optimizing, and troubleshooting Palo Alto firewalls, NGFWs, VPNs, and advanced threat prevention features.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, TCP/IP, routing, and switching technologies.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze logs, alerts, and events to identify and mitigate security threats effectively.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate security solutions into broader IT infrastructure and ensure compliance with security policies and standards.
