- Serve as a strategic advisor to FLC leadership on all marketing issues. Own the FLC ‘go-to-market’ strategy to drive market share and amplify FLC’s brand presence, particularly amongst law firms and corporates (insurance / construction).
- Manage delivery of marketing activity against business plans, coordinating actions with SMDs, sharing best practice, and facilitating collaboration between FLC practices and wider EMEA offices.
- Own FLC’s UK events strategy, ensuring all events (sponsorships and client programmes) support FLC growth ambition and business priorities, and identifying relevant speaking opportunities and partnerships with law firms, associations, and organisations.
- Collaborate closely with revenue generating professionals and FLC’s Business Development team to implement client-centric buyer programmes that are distinct and measurable. Maintain a repository of marketing materials to support business development efforts.
- Work with FLC leaders to identify key influencers in the market (clients, targets, business organisations, intermediaries, media, etc.) and develop a targeted outreach plan aligned to the FLC business priorities for growth.
- Coordinate with FLC’s Business Development team to develop an ongoing market intelligence report capturing key accounts penetration, competitor analysis, shortfalls, and opportunities as input into marketing activities.
- Manage FLC marketing budget and develop concise KPIs to track and measure the effectiveness of marketing activities.
- Work closing with FTI Consulting’s PR and social media teams to develop a PR and social media strategy that supports the FLC ambition and enhances the FTI brand.
- Educate FLC professionals of marketing best practices and support them in their client relationship development.
- Collaborate with marketing leads across EMEA and globally to drive cross-segment marketing initiatives.
- Implement internal processes in accordance with wider FTI Consulting initiatives, i.e., oversee FLC’s CRM contact lists, ensure compliance with PR risk management processes, and ensure branded materials comply with global standards.
- Manage team of four direct reports to ensure delivery of consistently high-quality and measurable marketing programme.
- A Bachelors or Masters in Marketing (Masters preferred).
- More than 10 years of business-to-business marketing experience with a proven track record within the professional services sector, ideally consulting or law.
- Someone who has worked in marketing with business development experience at a top law firm or from a forensic accounting practice would be advantageous.
- Experience in leading / managing teams.
- Campaign management – ability to run from inception to completion multiple large-scale campaigns across geographies and develop relevant ROIs for the campaigns.
- Account based marketing skills – ability to implement a client care and client targeting programme with experience working hand in hand with business development or sales professionals.
- Digital marketing skills – experienced in managing multi-channel streams including social media (including paid social campaigns), website, webcast, podcast, and video.
- Client relationship management skills – developing rapport with stakeholders both internally and externally. Tailoring marketing campaigns to stakeholder needs and having a “go the extra mile” approach.
- Marketing vision – be able to plan and execute strategic marketing plans to build the FLC global brand and facilitate growth along with FLC marketing taskforces, FLC leadership and the wider EMEA and global leadership.
- Strong track record in events management, including vendor management and engagement, as well as contract negotiations.
- Analytical, organised, and hard-working.
- Positive, proactive approach and the ability to motivate others and work collaboratively as part of the firm’s broader marketing community.
- Creative flair for marketing campaigns. Ability to make budget “work for the business”.
- Strong communications and project management skills.
