- Independently collaborate with business leaders to understand complex business challenges and identify opportunities for data driven business decisions
- Understand key business drivers to proactively perform analytics to answer critical business questions and make recommendations, including strategic initiatives
- Create ad hoc reports to answer key business questions
- Develop and implement clear vision for standardized, consistent reporting across functional teams
- Understand, document and communicate data structure and elements to ensure the entire organization uses consistent and standardized data for reporting and analysis
- Build decision support and visualization tools using self service analytics applications
- Identify critical data sources necessary to achieve desired business outcomes
- Identify data quality issues and work with the relevant teams to resolve
- Develop executive dashboards to better monitor key performance indicators (KPI’s) and make decisions to drive revenue and profit
- Develop and manage strategic planning model to quantify impacts of annual business initiatives. You will use these modeling tools to develop business recommendations and priorities
- Create and manage brand health and awareness tracking
- Provide consultation for reports and/or dashboards for end users
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, MIS, Mathematics or similar field from a 4 yr university or college
- 5+ years of business analytics experience in the retail/consumer product industry
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and math skills
- Excellent communication skills to influence diverse groups of people with varying levels of technical and non-technical audiences
- Self starter with an ability to manage multiple projects at one time. Organized and detail-oriented with keen focus on objectives and not easily distracted
- Strong Excel and PPT skills. Ability to pull and analyze data from ERP system (Full Circle preferred) and Power BI
- Able to work in ambiguous situations and respond flexibly to changing circumstances, priorities, and time constraints in a fast paced, entrepreneurial organization
- Prior knowledge of both qualitative and quantitative research methodologies is required and an interest in exploring emerging approaches
- This position requires some hours at our HQ in Costa Mesa, CA; however, some duties can be performed remotely
