Duties will be varied but will include:
- Managing / overseeing projects, advising clients on engineering projects such as power, general infrastructure and waste management facilities, and residential throughout Scotland and across the UK;
- The role requires a working knowledge of engineering design (reinforced concrete, steel, earthworks, drainage and external works design), programme management, engineering contracts (NEC3/4, FIDIC etc), together with experience of the tender process and management of construction projects.
- Report writing and technical review of other team members work;
- Supervision / mentoring of engineering staff;
- Liaising with other professionals in other UK offices;
- Assisting more senior team members in seeking opportunities through coordinated business development to expand the civil & structural engineering services and capabilities.
- You will manage and provide assistance on a diverse range of engineering projects, across sectors including power (wind farms, sub-stations), infrastructure (waste facilities, general developments) and built environmental (residential etc).

You should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong team player with good communication, organisation, and numerical skills. A flexible approach to changing priorities as well as an ability to work accurately under pressure is also required.
- Demonstrable experience working in a comparable role on civil engineering projects, preferably within consultancy; and a good knowledge of relevant UK legislation and standards associated with Civil & Structural Engineering.
- Demonstrable consultancy/commercial experience post-graduation including project/budget management, and team supervision.
- Working engineering design knowledge reinforced concrete, steel, earthworks, drainage and external works design), programme management, engineering contracts (NEC3/4, FIDIC).
- Knowledge/experience of tendering process.
- A general understanding of civil engineering principles is vital.
- A full driving licence valid in the UK.
