- Develop, execute, and manage programs focused on the implementation of sustainable HVAC and mechanical system solutions across different business units.
- Work independently to successfully deliver program goals, seeking guidance as needed and making connections to the right people or technologies as required.
- Oversee the delivery of capital projects related to the BMS, from scoping and design to construction and commissioning.
- Collaborate closely with internal and external stakeholders, including technology providers, customers, partners, and vendors, to deliver complex/cross-functional projects.
- Identify and drive improvements in the BMS, HVAC and mechanical systems to increase energy efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and enhance performance.
- Provide technical leadership on BMS, HVAC and mechanical system design, installation, operation, and maintenance.
- Lead cross-functional teams, manage resources, and maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Develop and implement training programs to increase team knowledge and competence.
- Monitor, evaluate, and report on the performance and efficiency of the BMS
- Stay up to date with the latest sustainable technologies and industry trends and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Review engineering designs & drawings, construction and commissioning documentation and perform system inspections for construction quality, safety and regulatory compliance.
- Develop, implement, and support preventative and predictive maintenance strategies for new and existing equipment.
- Participate in/lead Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to identify root causes of complex and/or repetitive problems and put in place executable corrective actions.
- Provide support for hazard evaluations and risk assessments to comply with applicable OSHA, EPA, and International Building Code requirements or methodologies.
- Provide leadership to drive continuous improvement with assets and site reliability.
- Analyze operational data, KPIs, OEE, etc. to identify gaps and areas of potential improvement.
- Actively participate in design and implementation of Asset Improvement Strategies for systems to improve production and uptime.
- Lead discussions to handle concerns and Requests for Information (RFIs). This will require technical knowledge, resourcefulness to navigate through internal and external resources, and a focus on customer satisfaction.

- Bachelor's Degree in an engineering or relevant technical discipline
- Operations and reliability maintenance experience in manufacturing, industrial warehouse or commercial building environment.
- Experience in managing multiple programs / projects, using effective time management skills and personal impact to drive complex activities across the organization.
- Experience in BMS and HVAC design, construction, or maintenance.
- Experience in design and operation of mechanical systems, including Roof Top Units, CRAC systems, HVLS and exhaust fans and other air quality and comfort control equipment.
- Experience testing/troubleshooting using a range of devices, to identify and report out on base building systems.
- Ability to understand technical air balance (TAB) reports and recommend changes to equipment settings.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulatory requirements including international building code (IBC), National Electric Code (NEC), ASME, NFPA and ASHRAE standards.
- Experience preferably in a supervisory or project management role in the installation of utilities and infrastructure in new construction and existing building.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot electrical control wiring and related BMS instrumentation.
- Six Sigma/Project Management certification (PMP or equivalent).
- Professional Engineering (PE) License, Certified Energy Manager (CEM), or LEED accreditation is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to analyze and troubleshoot electrical control wiring and related BMS instrumentation.
- High capability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, frequent changes in priorities, and changes in the business environment.
- Understanding of psychometrics, thermodynamics, heat transfer, and fluid dynamic processes and their relation to HVAC related applications.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills to successfully integrate and align a multi-discipline team in delivery of projects.
- Able to problem solve and troubleshoot as the need arises with a hands-on approach.
- Familiarity with building and or process heating/cooling load calculations to derive HVAC equipment specifications.
- Experience using HVAC monitoring software, such as Niagara BMS for troubleshooting.
- Ability to train new and existing site technicians on basics of HVAC, Mechanical and Plumbing equipment operation, and maintenance.
