- Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and relevant regulatory requirements.
- Provide timely and insightful analysis of financial performance to support decision-making processes.
- Develop and maintain financial reporting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and transparency.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.
- Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted targets, investigating variances and recommending corrective actions as necessary.
- Assess the financial implications of strategic initiatives and investment opportunities, providing recommendations to optimize financial outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable accounting standards, regulations, and tax laws related to real estate transactions.
- Oversee the preparation of tax returns, working closely with external tax advisors to minimize tax liabilities and maximize incentives.
- Coordinate audits and reviews by external auditors, providing necessary documentation and support to ensure successful outcomes.
- Manage cash flow and liquidity to meet operational requirements and optimize investment returns.
- Establish and maintain banking relationships, negotiating terms and fees to minimize costs and maximize services.
- Develop and implement cash management strategies to mitigate financial risks and enhance overall liquidity management.
- Supervise and mentor accounting staff, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.
- Provide guidance and support on complex accounting issues, leveraging expertise and experience to resolve challenges effectively.
- Foster collaboration and communication within the finance team and across departments to achieve common goals and objectives.
- CPA (Certified Public Accountant) qualification is required.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of [X] years of progressive accounting experience in the real estate industry, with demonstrated leadership capabilities.
