The Product Engineer will be responsible for defining production test plans and supporting launching new products into high volume production. This position is part of the product engineering group field application and cooperates with cross-functional teams of Design, Test, Reliability to drive projects to completion.Primary Job Functions:
  • New Product Introduction - responsible for product life cycle management.
  • Understand contributors to the highest level in product quality, cost, and drive cost reductions.
  • Manage test house qualifications and yield improvements.
  • Characterization, ATE and probe data analysis.
  • Developing production and characterization test specifications.
  • Creating and managing product documentation.
  • Providing product development support which involves interfacing with Design, Test, Application, Quality Engineering.
  • Identify new design and product upselling opportunities.
  • Align customer design requirements with MACOM products and technology
  • Provide guidance and input for customer proposals.
  • Develop the product validation environment including hardware and software.
  • Validate the product in its end application and writing validation reports.
  • Creation of collaterals such as application notes, product presentations, publications, etc.
  • Provide training to the sales and marketing organization.
  • Requires excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work closely and coordinate activities with other functional groups.
  • Must have excellent analytical and technical skills to find and resolve any product, process, test, and yield issues.
  • Must be able to work well under pressure, changing priorities, and constant interruptions.
  • Must be able to multi-task, coordinate meetings, prepare and give technical presentations.
  • Train customers and distributor FAEs on the benefits and features of MACOM products.
  • Be an advocate for MACOM products and technology
Required Skills & Experience:
  • Master's Degree or PHD in Electronic Engineering.
  • Solid working knowledge Product Life Cycle.
  • Considerable experience in techniques for problem isolation/solving, test issue resolution, and yield enhancement.
  • Knowledge in the field of semiconductors and different design (power amplifier PA, low noise amplifier LNA, Core Chip CC, Mixer, Trans-Impedance Amplifier TIA…)
  • Knowledge of bench equipment like network analyzers, spectrum analyzers, RF sources, power meters
  • Statistical methods and tools
  • Demonstrable project management skills
  • Desire to learn and develop.
  • Good communications skills
  • Excellent problem solving and debug skills
  • Ability to work in a fast paced, project-oriented team environment.
  • Team player.
  • Self-motivated with ability to multi-task and work independently
  • Desirable Skills
  • Lab Equipment knowledge related to VNA, Spectrum Analyzer, Digital and Real-Time Oscilloscope.
  • Understand in troubleshooting HW.
  • Familiarity with the following software: Python, C, C++, Jupyter,ADS
