What is the point of this role?The Internal Project Manager plays a pivotal role in overseeing and driving the successful execution of projects within the organization. They lead cross-functional teams, manage resources, adhere to quality standards, and ensure project delivery aligns with strategic objectives. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, leadership, and effective communication.What will I be doing?Project Leadership:
  • Lead project teams across one or more business units.
  • Motivate team members, ensuring they meet project goals and adhere to responsibilities and milestones.
  • Own the full project life cycle, from initiation to deployment, for strategic projects or multiple BAU ones simultaneously.
  • Developing strong relationships with team members, the SLT & Operational Board
  • Evolve and manage a methodology for delivering and monitoring the transformation projects, with a focus on efficiency and pace of delivery balanced with best practice project governance.
Resource Management:
  • Allocate and manage resources effectively.
  • Prepare estimates and detailed project plans for all phases.
  • Procure necessary resources to achieve project objectives within planned timeframes.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
  • Adhere to stage gate quality and SDLC control guidelines.
  • Monitor project activities, risks, and change requests.
  • Ensure successful and on-time project delivery.
Reporting and Metrics:
  • Report on project success criteria, results, and deployment management activities.
  • Analyze metrics to drive continuous improvement.
  • Understand interdependencies between technology, operations, and business needs.
Problem-Solving and Innovation:
  • Work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
  • Participate in establishing best practices, templates, and policies.
  • Drive process improvement initiatives related to project delivery.
  • Authority and Accountability:
  • Run the project on a day-to-day basis.
  • Verify that deliverables meet quality standards, time constraints, and business case benefits.

What will I bring to the role?The project manager should have:
  • Deep knowledge of project management methodologies for planning, monitoring and controlling programmes including Agile and Waterfall methodologies
  • sound business case development and approvals skills
  • strong knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • good knowledge of enterprise and data architecture
  • Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation, through both oral and visual presentation.
What is needed to do the role?
  • Demonstrable experience using JIRA (Essential)
  • Prince2 or other similar project management accreditations.
