- Plan and undertake a range of routine and non-routine tasks as directed by the logistics leader.
- Operate medium/heavy rigid / multi combination vehicles.
- Handle bulk dangerous goods.
- Ensure compliance with all safety, fatigue and heavy vehicle operating guidelines, loading requirements and adhering to vehicle specific permits.
- Perform. plant and equipment inspection/prestart as per Aurizon policy.
- Preform couple/uncoupling of trailering equipment, connecting all hose, cable connections and other associated functions between prime movers and trailing gear.
- Operate all vehicles and equipment in line with Aurizon policy and procedures.
- Provision, clean and perform lower-level maintenance on plant and equipment as directed.
- Completing all relevant paperwork in line with your role collecting vehicle data to contribute towards serviceability check on equipment.
- Utilise all available competencies and licences and be willing to obtain any necessary licences and or competencies for the safe and continued operations.

- A current MC truck license (mandatory).
- Forklift & CN ticket (preferred but not essential).
- Dangerous Goods License (preferred but not essential).
- MISC card
- Basic computer skills.
- Solid work history within the transport and logistics industry.
- Proven container and end tipper work experience.
- Strong customer service and relationship building skills.
- Demonstrated clean driving history (records / transcripts to be provided).
