Information about the positionWe are building a Payments organisation that moves billions of funds for second-hand items across our markets, an organisation that helps us scale anywhere in Europe through an ecosystem of payments providers, compliance and regulatory controls, and that ensures the right payment experience along the way.As part of the Payments business unit, the Finance team is looking for a hands-on experienced individual to join as the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). You will play a pivotal role in driving the financial performance of the Payments business unit, ensuring that we make data-driven decisions that support our growth and evolution.As the Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) for Payments you will take ownership of financial planning, forecasting, and analysis areas, driving growth and profitability of the business unit. You'll work closely with key stakeholders across Product, Payments Business leadership and Group Finance to deliver actionable insights and influence business decisions.In this position, you'll
  • Lead the financial planning process at Vinted Payments, including annual budgeting, rolling forecasts, and long-term strategic plans
  • Ensure insightful financial projection presentation to C-level management, encompassing financial models, scenario and “what if” analysis, assumption testing, return on investment evaluation and risk assessment
  • Develop and coordinate the planning and tracking of Payments Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) to ensure alignment between financial goals and overall business objectives
  • Define and track Finance metrics against targets, highlighting areas of opportunity or risk in regularly organised and facilitated performance reviews
  • Provide regular performance reports to the Group, conducting root cause analysis, and offering recommendations to optimise performance and ensure budget alignment
  • Conduct financial models to evaluate different business scenarios, helping to guide important decisions on new initiatives, investments, business strategies and commercial agreements
  • Partner with Product, Data science and Business leadership teams to understand business drivers and measure the financial impact of key projects and initiatives
  • Provide ad-hoc financial analysis and decision support to assist in strategic business planning, being able to pivot and respond to urgent requests from the leadership
  • Collaborate with Group Finance to ensure correct and comprehensive financial performance is reflected via the business unit's Profit and Loss statements
  • Continuously improve FP&A processes and controls
About you
  • 5+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, or a similar finance function
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Experience within a Payments, FinTech, or technology-driven environment is a plus
  • Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, scenario analysis and performance tracking
  • Sharp analytical mindset and ability to distill complex financial data into clear, actionable insights to support business decisions
  • Strong communicator knowing how to tell the story behind the numbers
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
  • Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced modeling, data analysis) and experience with BI tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), experience with FP&A tools is a plus
  • Understanding of accounting standards and their application, financial reporting knowledge
  • Excellent written and spoken English
