We are a diversified holding company with interests in a law firm, an online learning platform, and investments in stock and cryptocurrency markets. We seek a detail-oriented Financial Controller to manage our financial reporting, provide strategic insights based on financial analysis, and support decision-making processes at the executive level.Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the development and maintenance of comprehensive financial reports that detail the financial standing and performance of the company's various business units, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
- Design and implement reporting systems that deliver critical financial and operational information to the company's executives, enabling them to make informed business decisions.
- Analyze financial data and performance trends across all business sectors, providing detailed monthly and quarterly financial reviews and reports for executive management.
- Develop financial models and forecasting tools to predict future revenues and expenditures, facilitating proactive management of resources.
- Serve as a key advisor to senior management, offering strategic insights and recommendations based on financial analysis and projections.
- Manage the preparation of statutory reporting and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Streamline internal financial processes and reporting systems to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
- Ensure robust internal controls are in place, and financial processes are compliant.
- Coordinate with external auditors and participate in audits to ensure adherence to financial laws and guidelines.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, promoting a culture of high performance and continuous improvement.
- Regularly brief the executive team and relevant stakeholders on the company's financial status and progress towards financial goals.Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA highly preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in financial management, with extensive experience in financial reporting and analysis.
- Strong expertise in GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Exceptional analytical skills and a proficient understanding of spreadsheet and database tools.
- Proven ability to develop and implement financial policies and procedures that align with company goals.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills, with a proven track record of working effectively with senior management.
- Experience in the sectors of law, online education, and investment management preferred.Benefits:
