  • Duration: 12 month fixed term contract (possibility of extension)
  • Remuneration: $106,351 - $115,103 + 17% Super and leave loading
  • Location: Kensington, NSW (Hybrid working, work from home and from UNSW Sydney campus)

Putting communities at the heart of our research, we develop tests, treatments, cures and prevention strategies that have the greatest chance of success.Why Your Role Matters:As a Senior Project Officer, you will provide project management and research support within the . This will specifically include the management and coordination of projects supported by a NHMRC Partnership Project Grant; as well as providing support to other projects within the NTD RG.The role of Senior Project Officer reports to the Professor NTD RG leader and has no direct reports.Who You Are:
  • Relevant public health degree with subsequent relevant experience or equivalent competence gained through any combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Experience working in low- and middle-income countries ideally on NTDs.
  • Proven project management experience involving multiple stakeholders, preferably in an international context and involving staff supervision.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills, with a high level of attention to detail for deliverables produced.
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and productively within a team, but also to take initiative and work independently while managing competing demands.
  • Excellent time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to respond to changing priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet competing deadlines by using judgement and initiative, whilst maintaining attention to detail and strong healthy working relationships.
  • Demonstrated strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint in particular) for word processing, handling spreadsheets and preparation of presentations.
  • Experience with health research design, survey development, data management, data analysis, statistics, analysis of health policy, and/or translating research findings into policy and practice.
