- Develop and implement document control procedures in accordance with project requirements and industry standards.
- Establish and maintain a central document repository for all project documentation, including drawings, specifications, reports, and correspondence.
- Coordinate document workflows and review processes to ensure timely approval and distribution of documents.
- Perform quality checks on incoming and outgoing documentation to verify accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project standards.
- Monitor document revisions and maintain accurate version control to prevent errors and inconsistencies.
- Provide training and support to project team members on document control processes and systems.
- Generate regular reports on document status, distribution, and other key metrics to project management and stakeholders.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and document exchange.
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent work experience.
- Proven experience as a Document Controller in the water or construction industry
- Strong understanding of document control principles, processes, and best practices.
- Proficiency in document management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001) is desirable.
- Certification in document control (e.g., Certified Document Controller) is a plus.
